Quick Question...

Out of curiousity, a lot of the folks who's blogs i visit do poetry or short stories. And with the amount of talent that ya'll write with, do any of you worry about creative theft? I would hate for your or my stuff to be jacked by some sucka to claim it as their own.

I do, do the the poor mans copyright, but from what i read it doesn't always hold up in court.

Let me know if ya'll doing anything, or if you worry about.

Peace.

Honestly, I don't worry about people stealing my writings and claiming it as their own. If I post a poem online for people to read and its not copywritten, that means that the piece of work is something that I want to share without worrying about the legal stuff. Of course, I wouldn't want someone to steal my poetry and take it as their own, but its a risk that I'm aware of. But you bring up a very good point. Got me thinking over here!!

i've thought more about that recently. i want to share but i want credit. i'm gonna have to look into that. thanks for the info, luv.

That sucks. What's so hard in crediting the author if you wanna use something they wrote? But it is highly likely that one's work can be stolen so some sort of copyrighting would be useful

I see what Urban Buttafli is saying. I did put my stuff out there to be read, but i do want credit for my stuff.

It's kinda like you have to choose between keepin you ideas and visions to yourself or share them with the world, and risk the potential Creative Piracy.

peace.

i'm not really concerned about people stealing my stuff because i don't get that much traffic on my blogs anyway.
